The PS40 cables feature nickel-plated plugs with black housing, offering a balanced combination of contact resistance and lifespan compared to some "gold-plated" plugs that are actually metallic oxide with higher contact resistance.

Constructed with a coaxial cable design, the PS40 cables utilize a copper core, linear polyethylene insulation, conductive plastic shielding, and a spiral copper shielding, all enclosed in a soft, rubber-like PVC outjacket. This solid coaxial construction results in less internal movement, lower capacitance, and reduced capacitance change, ensuring reliable performance and minimizing tone loss for your guitar, bass, or other unbalanced signal equipment.

Shielded at a rate of 95% through the use of a conductive plastic layer and a spiral copper wire, the PS40 cables provide effective noise reduction while maintaining a flexible and lightweight design. This balanced approach outperforms the often too-rigid construction of cables with 99% shielding using braided copper wire and aluminum foil, which can be prone to breakage over time.
